Can a UTI cause period like cramps?

So I have a UTI and I haven't been taking medicine for it which is probably foolish of me, but before I even knew I had one like two months ago I got weird period like cramps. And now I'm getting them again. My period for May was 2 weeks late too.

You deff wanna get that treated because uti's can turn into kidney infections and omg let me tell you....those suck!!! The pain is unbearable along with the fever and body chills

I had a uti couple weeks ago. It was really painful went to the doctors and I got antibiotics. Once I finshed my antibiotics I felt much better.

Yes, I had horrible cramps the last time I had a uti. Unfortunately, I didn't get it taken care of and then my back started killing me. Finally went to the Dr and it turned into a kidney infection. I was miserable, but the Dr got me all fixed up with some antibiotics. Hope you start feeling better soon!

I believe it can. When I get a UTI, my lower back hurts really bad, and that is what happens when I am cramping. I don't know how you can stand having a UTI for so long! My advice would be to go to the doctor and get on an antibiotic. If a UTI gets serious enough, it can spread to your kidneys, which would be bad.
