Swab?

I had my first appointment today and I had to do a swab of my vagina. I was just trying to do it and was just in the swing of everything that I forgot to ask what it was for lol. Has anyone done this? If so what is it for? Thanks!

They check for Gonarrhea and chlymidia with a swab sometimes at your first appointment.

Sounds like the group B strep test. They usually have you swab your vagina and anus. If you test positive then at birth they put you on antibiotics to protect you and the baby

Was it a swab or like a little scrape. Should've been a Pap smear.
