Serious question, why do people feel it’s okay to comment on your body when your pregnant?

People never make comments when you’re not so why do they feel it’s okay to make a comment when you are?

I’m okay with the cute comments like awe your bump is so cute but the full blown you’re fat? People are so rude and don’t think about how that affects the pregnant women’s feelings.

We had our gender reveal party yesterday and the day was wonderful!! We found out we are having a baby girl!! The party was winding down and my boyfriends obnoxiously drunk best friend gave me a hug and was like “whoa you’re getting fat” and even if it was just joking I certainly didn’t take it as one and spent the night crying and worrying about my appearance and weight. It sounds vein or like I don’t care about the party or the outcome but I was genuinely hurt by his comment.

Anyone else have this problem when pregnant?
