I had an ultrasound but they just saw a sac??

Question

So I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and all they saw was the sac with nothing in it yet she said I was 5 weeks and 5 days (when I thought I was 5 weeks and 2 days) and said nothing about a miscarriage or losing the pregnancy. Just said it was so early. Sooo..? It’s just normal to not see anything in there yet?

This is why many doctors won’t do one until 7-9 weeks. Its really too early to see much.

I had an ultrasound yesterday. I was supposed to be 7 weeks but was only measuring 5 weeks. They couldn’t see the yolk sac or fetal pole. They were pretty optimistic that I just have my dates off. I think it’s pretty common to not be able to see much until the pregnancy is further along. Going for another scan Monday. Is it weird of me to ask when your ovulation was?
