Brown discharge 1 week before my period?

I'm having brown discharge a week before my period is due. I've never had this before so I'm puzzled. Just did a gel treatment for BV a couple of weeks ago. Also had unprotected sex on a 22 percent fertility day. Not saying these things have anything to do with it, just stating facts. Any suggestions on what's going on?

could very well be implantation bleeding! are you have any other sysmptons that come along with pregnancy ie. sore/tender nipples/breast, frequently peeing?
