When do they do group b strep test?

my midwife told me they do it when your in active labor

They did mine at 36 weeks. Thankfully I knew what was coming and what it meant. I had explained it to my fiance several times before (quick swab of the vagina, and a simple outside swab of the rectum)... But oh man you should have seen the look on his face :D I had the drape up so he had a sideways view. Couldn't really see much but he saw her shove the swab in and totally thought she shoved it in my butt 😂😂😂 she left the room and he looked at me like 😨are you okay?

Thank you ladies. I'm pregnant with my 4th baby you'd think I'd remember by now but the timeline is a little blurry lol

My dr said I should expect to get it done this week (33+3) or my next appt when I’ll be 35+3.

yes 36 weeks, my OB just told me yesterday that she will be doing it in a month when i am 36w
