Stranger taking picture of your baby...

How do you feel about strangers taking photos of your baby?

Today a young man (mid 20s) who works in my building approached me and my 6 month old and asked me if he could take a picture of my baby. I said no. He asked why. I told him that I don’t want a stranger to have his photo. Smiled and tried to walk away but he follows us and keeps commenting about “his gorgeous baby boy.”

I felt a bit weirded out that a stranger would even want a picture of a random baby? For what?

My husband says I’m being too protective/ paranoid and he said he would have let the guy take a photo.

I hate to assume the worst of people and I know that obviously the guy could have completely innocent intentions but I don’t know him? He’s a stranger? So was I wrong to err on side of caution? You hear so much about child abductions / pedophile rings / human trafficking that sometimes it may make you overly cautious.

Would you have let him?
