first period after birth... help

OK so I stopped bleeding 4 weeks after baby was born. went to my 6 weeks check up got the pill then started my period and the pill the same day. I'm now on day 13 of both. anyone elses first period after birth last a long time?? with my 1st son I didn't do this and I'm just ready to get back to normal
