Will you have your baby girl's ears pierced?

I have this theory that girls will get them when they want. 
When I was 4, INSISTED on getting my ears pierced and begged my mother. I saw a girl in preschool with them and I begged. For weeks. My mother finally succumbed and I got them pierced. She said I was so excited and didn't even flinch. I was grinning the whole time! 
That being said, wouldn't it be cool to have an experience like that with you're little girl? :)

All to say, I'm having a boy. But I thought to share the experience.

No way! I see it as a privilege of growing up. My daughter won't get them till she's old enough to want them, take care of them, and pay for it herself. It's a great lesson in responsibility. I got mine done at 13 and loved the responsibility. I got to look forward to it. Never had any problems either.

We got hers done right before her 1st birthday. & im actually upset I waited that long.. The earlier the better.

I wish I would have when my daughter was a baby. Taking care of them would have been so much easier! But my husband insisted on waiting until she said she wanted them, which was when she was 3. There were lots of tears but she was brave!...until it came time to clean and twist them lol

My 5 year olds were done at 3 1/2 months. She loves them and we never had any issues of her tugging them at all. I don't know if I want to get this little ones done that early. I'm not sure why I've changed my kind I just don't know if I will have them done early or let her ask.

I didn't get my ears pierced til I was 8 years old. I think it's odd to see a 1 year old with earrings. There's a lot of maintenance that goes into it like making sure it's clean so it doesn't get infected. If I were younger when I got mine done I probably would have pulled them out making the holes close and ultimately having to pierce them again. It's not worth it imho.

My niece had hers done as a baby and her mom had real gold earrings in her ears and someone stole the earings right out of her ears. I won't be doing it cuz I don't want the responsibility of them. I see babies tug their ears all the time and I'd prefer not to cause my daughter discomfort from a ripped ear. If she wants them done when she's old enough to take care of them then I will allow it. Until then sticker earings it will be :-)

I have an 8 yr old and I really regret not getting her done and she is too scared now to get them done this one  I will be getting them done around 3 months

My daughter can have them when she wants/ earns them. My niece got hers as a reward for potty training. I like that idea
