I have no idea how any of the theories work. My dr said the heart beat was 155-162. 
Just curious is that's generally girl or boy?

Old wives tales would say that anything over 140 indicates girl, under 140 indicates boy. But I'm proof that that is just a wives tale and not necessarily accurate. My two girls had heart rates in the 170s, but my son's was also high- his heartrate was in the 150-160's. There's a 50/50 chance of it being right, but don't put your money on it, because it's not always accurate from everyone. I'm not being ugly, I just don't want you to get your hopes up that you know the gender, and then find out later that the wives tale was wrong.

Just found out we are having a girl, her last heart beat at 12 weeks was 158bpm.

My son was always 160-170s so don't by old wives even my doctor said that usually that theory is wrong
