Prenatal requirements?!

I just called to schedule my first appointment after the blood test confirming I'm pregnant. They insisted I had to have a prescription prenatal vitamin to be seen there!!!! They said it was required!!! Is that common?!? I don't want to start off by being told what I WILL do with MY pregnancy! they should be happy I'm taking a good one on my own right?!?

All my doctor worries about is if you take one at all. With my last pregnancy the Rx ones made me sick so I took the Walmart ones and he said that was fine.

I got a Rx but had adverse effect and stopped and went back to my own. Sometimes their recommendations doesn't work with EVERYONE

Take a prescription but don't pick it up or fill it and if they check that, just don't use tjem

I was given a prescription for prenatal vitamins at my first appointment (although I was already taking some). I don't know if it's normal to require it for admission to your first appointment though.
