I've been with my boyfriend now for 5 years, and I love him to bits, only problem is he changes he's mind on what he wants all the time, one month he'll want children to settle down, get in engaged, the next month he doesn't want any of that and wants to be able to go out with friends, or too "live a little"
He knows I want children and what I want in my future but he's just not bothered. He'd rather be with friends. I just don't no what to do, I love him, but he's sending all these mixed messages I don't get it.

Sounds like he is telling you what you want to hear so you do not leave him.  But you both want very different things in life.  I would say wait, give it time, he might change his mind.  But you have already been with him for 5 years.  Are you willing to wait 5 more?

sounds like hes having a hard time settling his life down. having children really does change everything. ever since i had my kid I havent been able to go out with my friends and get white girl wasted. and i love to party. shes a year and 5 months so its been that long since i had a life. he doesnt want to hurt your feelings he just wants to have a life still

Just because you get married and have kids doesn't mean you're not living. I used to go out all the time party and what not then I got married and had my daughter. My life is better because of her and my husband. So I consider it living more. Men are different though. Some may consider getting married and having kids being strapped down and not being able to do adult things anymore. But the truth is you still can you just have to be responsible.
