Doctor appointment advice?!

I just got my BFP on Monday. I went to my regular physician Thursday where it was confirmed and we set up blood work to confirm how far along I am (won't know till Monday). When do you typically make the appointment for the OBGYNO? My parents say o need to go in ASAP because I have questions and this is my first time going through the experience. Any suggestions?

Most obs won't see you until about 8 weeks. There's not much to see on an ultrasound until then. Start taking your prenatals if you aren't already. Congrats!!

I got in within a week of my bfp. I wish I would have waited closer to 10 weeks. It would have saved me a lot of money and time. Don't rush it if you are already getting blood work done. If you have a concern then go in but till then just request the book they hand out that explains a lot.

I didn't see a doctor with my first until 7 weeks, and this pregnancy was 9 weeks.

I got bfp on Friday and called my Obgyn on Monday and they wouldn't see me till I was 8 weeks... They went ahead and gave me an appt and I talked to nurse. I can always call and talk to nurse if I have any questions and this is my first pregnancy also.

Thank you ladies :) I started my prenatals the morning I found out. Just didn't know if I could call the clinic and ask questions or if I had to actually go in. I know I have to wait to see any ultrasound of my jelly bean. Super excited though and I know time will fly by.
