As long as she isn't his teacher or someone he looks up to in that type of capacity I think it's fine. Otherwise I would think it might be a control thing on the women's part.

Its weird to me.   But I guess if maturity level and social groups add up.  Sure but its not for me.

I don't think it's wrong, but just know that you two are in very different places in life.  I have a girl friend who went through the same situation, and the breakup was messy, since they had the attraction but the maturity levels are so different. 
I heard someone say that they would never date anyone under drinking age (from experience). The younger one thinks they know themselves, but normally don't. And I have heard stories where the younger one turned 21 and was ready to party and be crazy... just be careful! Feelings after fragile

It's legal....? My only concerns with a 5 year age gap in late teens/early 20s is - what is each individuals maturity level? And what is each individual hoping to gain from being   in the relationship? If two individuals are of legal age, at the same maturity level and both desire the same outcome of the relationship, why not? 5 years wouldn't even be a question if the man and woman were 30 and 35 respectively.
