Does marriage mature

My brother is a 22yr old man who’s loves to drink with his buddies and is about as mature as a 5yr old also Cheating on his almost wife (his business not mine) BUT he’s getting married next month. He just starting living with this woman. Do you rlly think this woman is going to straighten him up after the wedding or no since they’re living together??? (theve been dating 3yrs & he hasn’t changed yet)

Honestly I think you have a duty to this woman to tell her that your brother is cheating. I get that it isn’t your business but how would you feel if you married someone and found out they were cheating while you were engaged. This boy has no business getting married if he is cheating. Save them the trouble of a messy divorce.

marriage doesnt change this. ive never understand why people can sleep with someone else before their married and then use the excuse that they wernt married yet. i hope your brother can change and grow but from what ive seen with friends etc, if the person cheats then they arnt with the right person

Nope. She’s not going to change him- you can only change yourself. If your brother wanted to grow up he would. He doesn’t appear to respect the poor women he’s about to marry at all if he’s cheating either. So that won’t help things at all. Marriage doesn’t make you grow up, that’s why marriage is for grown ups when you’re ready to commit your life to another person and be a mature responsibly adult because you’re now responsible for someone other than yourself.

I'm going with no. Marriage isn't some magical fix all. He's not going to get married and then suddenly wake up the next morning and be more mature lol. I'm  sure if they've been together 3 years already, she knows this.

Marriage doesn’t always change people just like having a child doesn’t always change people. It really depends on the person. But if he’s cheating on her I’m sure their marriage won’t last long.

My husband was a bit of a partier. pulled the I am a man BS when we were first dating but he quickly learned that he wanted to stay with me for life and quickly changed it in the first couple months and now he is amazing and wanting to start a family and maybe has 2 beers to make sure he can responsibly drive himself home. we were married about 10 months after our first date. in my opinion if he hasn't changed yet. a wedding ring and a piece of paper won't change him

Marriage brings out all the flaws in your relationship and makes them more obvious...Marriage is awesome but it's also hard work... if someone is going into it cheating or acting a fool it's not going to work no matter how great the partner is
