question confused

was two weeks late and came February 10th so I don't know if it was just late or it was breakthrough bleeding or not which I I doubt cause I was never on the pill but it was 5 days normal so I figured it was a period. It went from spotting for a few hours to heavy for a few and ended with brown spotting for 2 days. So I used that cycle as my March one from the 19th to the 24th (24th ov day). I went to the doc today (March 9th) and it was neg. My period is due tomorrow (March 10th) should I just lose hope and know I'm not prego or should I try again after if af is missed? Need advice. Thank you. Doc said to come back if things were still acting werid
