Do you think this is a short or long-haired cat?

My husband and daughter convinced me to get this kitten, but we don't know much about it, long story. We haven't met it yet, so I am wondering if it's hair will likely stay short or get long.

if you look between the kitten's paws you'll have your answer. long hair cats have longer hair between the pads of their paws whereas short haired cats don't.

That little kittens hair will remain short. Maybe a tad bit frizzy for a while until he reaches maturity and then it will be short and smooth. What a cutie though!
