Does a negative opk after getting a positive one tell you that you’re done ovulating?

BBT for sure, but I also get symptoms due to the high progesterone immediately after ovulation -- usually my nipples get tender the very next day, and my digestion changes quite a bit.

Okay so what I do is I check my cm daily. When my cm changes from creamy to watery/ egg white I start using opk’s. I usually get my peak result within 3-4 days. Then after I get my positive opk I’ll start checking my cm daily again to see when my cm returns to creamy and then I know my fertile window is over.

Tracking BBT is the only way to know for sure or a blood test. 
BBT will rise the day of ovulation or within 12 hours of it happening 
LH surges that are detected by OPKs just predict ovulation and it can be anytime between 12-36 hours after the surge
