First transvaginal ultrasound?? What to expect?

I am estimated to be 8 weeks on Monday and have my first transvaginal ultrasound to check for viability. I have not had a nurse visit, OB visit or history check at this point. This is my first appointment in this pregnancy (my first).
What can I expect? Will their be questions I should be prepared to answer? Should I bring my list of questions or wait for my nurse visit appointment?
Is it just a quick ultrasound and I’m out the door? What is to be expected?
Anyone willing to discuss their experiences I’d appreciate it!! TIA

I just had my first one. They did a Pap smear, blood work, pregnancy test and urine analysis. They also go over what symptoms your feeling and what's normal and when to be worried. They do a transvaginal ultrasound and you get to see the baby. They will tell you how far you are based on the baby's measurements. They will also give you pictures. And they measure your cervix (with their fingers). It took me about an hour. Every OB is different so it may differ in some ways but that's how my first appointment went. I was 8 weeks and 1 days according to last period but according to baby measurements , I was only 7 weeks and 3 days. And I saw the baby's heart beat 😍

What Tina said ☝🏼 they may do a breast exam as well. It’s a bit uncomfortable but it’s worth it since you will get to see baby. 😊

My first exam was pretty simple. Give a urine sample, take vitals, then doctor did a transvaginal ultra sound. Then she went over all the testing options and the do’s and don’ts of pregnancy. I had a list of questions I brought with me and she answered those. Then I got all my lab paperwork and scheduled my next appts and I was done.

My first appointment was a urine sample, Pap smear, and cultures required by the state.  She went over a few things with us and sent ya for bloods.   We go back on the 21 for our ultrasound and see a doctor after.
