Toenail fell off

So my son’s nails were a little long I was going to cut them once he ate and was happy. Anyways, before I got them cut he managed to break his nail and now he’s missing most of his pink nail, and it’s at this weird angle. I know he’s probably going to have an ingrown nail and I feel terrible for not getting them cut before that happened.
