I'm the person that everyone constantly tell me to shut up because they're think it's funny and it been like this for years. At first I would laugh about it but now I seem to not even be talking around my friends anymore because as soon as I open my mouth they will just shut me right up.

It's the worst feeling like no one cares or no one is listening. People always cut me off mid sentence and talk about something completely different, like I wasn't even talking.

It hurts, and is largely the reason I have issues with feeling ignored/forgotten and an after thought. Then I would rather just stay home, so they don't have to try to include me. My mind is messed up.

So yea, I'd say id me more hurt than mad, and you have every reason to be! It's not right cutting people down to the point where they don't even want to try.

Have you told them this? Some people really have a hard time reading other people and continue to crack hurtful jokes out of habit...and never being informed by the person that they find it overused and hurtful. Sometimes some people really do just need to be flat out told "that was funny in the beginning, but i stopped finding it funny and started finding it hurtful a long time ago, please stop". Some people are just dumb when it comes to reading facial expressions & body language to determine how someone else is reacting & feeling about what was said. If they continue to do it after being told, in a serious manner that it hurts, then they're just being jerks at that point.

I used to have a "friend" like that. I didn't really take it to heart because she was my "friend" but after a few years of "being friends" with her, I found out that she was talking shit about me & my SO so I decided to tell that bih off & I told her to never talk to me again. & now I'm really happy with my life 😊
