help!

first i want to explain that im very bad at keeping track of my cycle so i use apps the last app i had went all wonky on me and i lost all my information so i dont know when my last period was but for me i usually always get my period around the end of the month and spotting has always ment for me that my period is coming in 1 - 2 days. In February i had some spotting around the middle of the month but didnt get a period. I didnt think to much because i dont normally get my period till the end if the month. Then the end of February came around and i didnt get a period but i had spotting and still am spotting. sorry for the TMI but the spottimg sometimes was like a browny-red and kinda thick like discharge. Should i test? Go to the doctors?
