I think we are reaching the end of our breastfeeding journey over here... 🙁

I’m still producing but my baby is getting lazy and prefers the bottle. She gets 5 bottles a day during the work week between my husband and daycare but I have been breastfeeding her directly in the evenings, nights and weekends.

Today she has been impossible to put down for a nap even though she supposedly takes great 3-hour naps at daycare. My husband suggested we give her a bottle before bed tonight and she chugged it like she was starving and then fell asleep peacefully. It makes me think she’s not getting full when she nurses.

Her bottles are already a blend of 50% breast milk and 50% Similac Pro Advanced so it’s not that big of a deal but... I’m still apprehensive about ending breast milk this early. I had hoped to breast feed her until she was 6 months old.

My freezer stash is almost gone so I definitely wouldn’t be able to keep up if I tried to exclusively pump. It just takes too much time away from work during the day to pump more than twice.
