Twins??

Question

Has anyone heard chances of twins increasing after a miscarriage (occurred 6 months ago)? I also have twins run in my family: at least one set in each generation in BOTH my mom and dad's sides of the family (5 sets alive currently....more in previous/ deceased generations). No twins yet from me or my siblings, though. First OB appointment on Wed so will find out then.

I have twins on both sides of my family. My dad is an identical twin and I have fraternal twin Great Grandfather and fraternal twin Grandfather as well as fraternal twin first cousins all on my mother's side of family. From what I've read fraternal twins are the ones that are hereditary especially if they are on your mother's side. My older sister has three kids and never had a set of twins, but she was a lot younger when she started having kids. I'm 34 and pregnant with my second. They also say your chances of having twins increase with age. So who knows...I might have a good chance of having twins. I also had a MC in March but I've never heard of that increasing your chances of having twins.
