In-Laws saying we should wait

My husband and I have been TTC for 6 months. We have kept this to ourselves because we don't want any added stress of other people waiting for our BFP.  Anytime I talk about kids, my in-laws immediately say "you should wait, enjoy marriage." It kind of hurts my feelings. My husband and I have a strong relationship and made the decision to TTC together. Now I am so nervous that if and when we get our BFP, they won't be happy.  Anyone else ever experience this?
