How long till first appt??

So I'm 5 weeks (counting from the first day of my last period)  and was wondering how long do I have to wait to see my Obgyn for the first appointment? Will I have a sonogram done? What should I be expecting?

Depends on your doctor, this is my first pregnancy, he saw me at 5 weeks to do a test to confirm and a Pap smear, then gave me the slip for blood work and an ultrasound to be done at 7 weeks. Got my ultrasound done last Monday and saw my beautiful baby and a strong heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days :) it all depends on the doctor, I'm nervous bc it's my first pregnancy so when I go back to see him at 9 weeks on the 25th I'm going to see if I can get another ultrasound done at 10 weeks before the 12 week testing one bc we want to announce around 10 weeks. Some doctors won't see you until later but I would have gone nuts with my anxiety if my doctor refused to see me until 10-12 weeks.

I wasn't seen until I was about eight or nine weeks along. At my first appointment my doctor talked to me about home life, briefly about my birth plan, my family background and also my support system because I am a first time single mom. I had a pap smear and he also tried to find the heartbeat. He could not find the heartbeat so he sent me for an ultrasound that day. After the ultrasound he talked to me a little more because I found out I was having twins. Every doctor is different though. Best of luck to you.

I wasn't able to book an appointment until I had my dating scan at 8 weeks and then I didn't get seen until 22 weeks 😮 it was sooooo long!

According to the app I'm 7 weeks 2 days. My ob\gyn's office scheduled my appointment for June 23. I'm SO anxious!!
