My MIL and husband were grossed out when I traded the neighbors a bunch of strawberries for a bunch of fresh mulberries. (She puts a sheet down to catch them when they fall.) Hubs told me they were gross/not really food and that there was a reason they'd ignored them falling into the yard for the past 25 years. I made a strawberry/mulberry crumble and thought it turned out really good, and even hubs ate it. But it made me wonder, do people just not eat them for certain reasons, or is it just because they aren't in grocery stores?
