What is the right amount of communication in a LDR?
My boyfriend moved away 2 months ago and since then I’ve visited him once and we talk and text everyday.
If we don’t get the chance to call each other that day I end up feeling sad or mad. I feel like that’s because of the pattern we’ve created not the relationship but it leaves me feeling like a part of my day is missing.
Going from practically living together to never seeing him and days I feel like I hardly hear from him it’s killing me.
I’m going to see him again in two weeks and he’s going to come back with me to visit for a week as well but i need to get over this whole feeling like a lack of communication when really it only feels like a lack compared to before. I just don’t know how to get over it.
I love him and I really want to make this work. I’m 19 and he’s 24 so our age difference sucks because he’s getting his masters while I just started college.
I met him in italy during my study abroad but now he’s studying “abroad” from Italy. We’re from different countries (I’m American)
I’ve met his family, I’m going back with him for easter which a huge deal here. He said if I got pregnant he thinks I should get an abortion because I’m too young but if I didn’t want to he would even be happy about that (I’m on birth control it was just a hypothetical situation)
I’m basically just rambling I miss him so much and it makes me so mad when he doesn’t text me back when he goes out with friends even though I knew they flew to be with him and hedoesnt know it makes me mad because obviously he needs to spend time with them but I’m tired of it annoying me I just wish I would he okaywith it.
I trust him 100% I think it might just be the fact that I feel like I work harder in school and I stay in doing homework while he goes out, and when he was here we would do both together😓
