Why don't people get prego on the first try!?

I'm just curious and maybe this is a silly question. But why don't we all get prego on the first try? I have been having unprotected sex with my hubby for 6 months now and nothing. Yes I just got off BC after being on it for 10 years only 7 months ago, but does anyone know the real reason why it takes so long? (Pending both people are healthy and everything is cleared)

I'm getting so frustrated and doing everything right. Some months we haven't even tried and just had unprotected sex, but even so..

Because men ejaculate over one million sperm in a concetrate of 2.5 ml, apon entering the vagina at least half dies on the spot. Rest get confused by the environment. It takes 3-24 hours for the sperm to adjust to the conditions and begin to move, by which time you mat have excreted more or the egg may habe left the building.
then maybe a 1/4 of the amount of them get up to where the egg is and get lost on wheter to go left or right to find the egg, by which time of they do find it not all are strong enough to penetrate it, and only one can. The struggle is real for the sperm lol

Honestly, God controls it all. Not only do you have to have sex at the right time and the vaginal secretions have to be welcoming (because normally their job is to kill/block) and the sperm has to be healthy and and and... The sperm and egg have to have proteins that match- like a lock and a key. When you think about the science behind conceiving, you realize how much of a miracle it truly is and how you can do everything right but still take time.

I wondered this same thing. It took me 2 years to conceive and there wasn't anything wrong with me or my hubby. We used to have sex when I was ovulating but never had any luck! Sometimes it just takes people longer, everything has to be just right. It's very frustrating! X

Because you release one egg each cycle that survives only 24hours....not a huge window each cycle to catch lol sperm die within a few days too

Wrong timing is all. Plus sperm take time to reach the egg. I think the only reason I got pregnant is because I have ovulation pain. I know as soon as the pain stops I have roughly 12 to 36 hours before my egg is released because I get my lh surge when the pain happens. So last cycle I had sex the day before the pain and the day of the pain. That's  it. I ovulated sometime after the pain within 36 hours and didn't have sex after that and I got pregnant. I honestly think some people have sex too much and it doesn't give them quality sperm each time. I read every other day was ideal. Which I agree with because then the male has time to build it up. Also I used Conceive plus too.

Every couple only has about a twenty percent chance of pregnancy.  Odds are not good for achieving pregnancy even under the best conditions.

To get my daughter I literally had sex ever night from the last day of my period until the start of the next. We did that for 4 months straight. And always had sex before 6pm (I was told the most fertile window was between noon and 6 pm). I would have assumed it would work the first month. We were so past frustrated when we finally found out we were pregnant.
