Scary stories!? 💀👻

So a previous post got me interested in the scary stories the glow community might or might not have.

If you could please comment below if you have a scary story (and believe it's true!) Or if you don't believe in anything that bumps in the night (and maybe reasoning why?)

You're an astronaut orbiting earth, and you have three other astronauts with you - Rameirez, Jones, and Strauss. You've worked with these people for a long time before departing in to space and consider them your friends.

You're all sitting around a table eating and talking when there's suddenly a knock on the ships main entrance/exit door. You exchange looks between each other. No one is missing.

You get up and look out through the porthole window - there's an astronaut outside, but it's difficult to make out a face due to the helmets mask being tinted darker than normal. Or maybe that's just the reflection of the glass and the sun? You quickly grab your suits communication device and ask who they are.

"Remeirez. I just finished some standard check ups on the outer hull. Let me in." They say.

You look over at the table. Remeirez is looking back at you, confused and pale faced.

"Remeirez is right here beside me. Who are you?" You ask.

They start banging on the door "IM THE REAL REMEIREZ!" They shout over and over.

When I was younger there was a few incidents that made me question the supernatural , things like feeling I'm getting dragged down the bed while I'm asleep n seeing a figure on the wall waking up from being bitten in my dream to real tooth marks n pain In my hand I also remember crying because my duvet was being pulled off me n I was trying to hold it on ( I didn't have any brothers n sisters around me then so no one could of been playing tricks with me). I dno if I believe in ghost n spirits but these things really did happen on more than one occasion n I haven't got any other explanation to it .. A lot of weird things happened to me when I was younger n it was like I grew out of it as I got older. Call me crazy if you like

One day I was doing some house cleaning and my toddler was upstairs playing. All of the sudden she starts screaming for me. I run upstairs and she's crying and shaking. I ask her what's wrong and she said that there is a man in my bed. I walk into my room with her and she starts screaming "He's right there!". There was absolutely no one there that I could see but she continued to cry and tell this man to go away. Later that week, my dog began barking into my closet all the time-usually when it was open. My kids became so afraid of my room that they refused to ever come in or walk past it. After a while I packed up our rooms and we moved to the bottom floor of our house because they were just to afraid to be up there. My bedroom door is always closed now but every once and awhile my dog will bark and try to dig his way in from under the door. I hate living here 😞

I used to watch this show on TV as a kid. I couldn't remember much about it, other than it was possibly claymation and always had some sort of message, a moral, a lesson learned. I vaguely recalled it being creepy, but then again, what claymation isn't. I would bring it up to friends in casual conversation, whenever we reminisced about childhood, but no one knew what I was talking about. The conversation would halt, an unsettling pause filling the air. Maybe that's just how I look at it, knowing what I know now, but i remember an air of unease. Then the conversation would pick back up, Rainbow Brite or Strawberry Shortcake would be brought up, and I'd never bring up the show to the same group twice.

So anyway, a few years back, I found one of those forums. "Remember that show..." or something. It's a bunch of people coming together to remember old shows, cartoons, whatever. I helped people for a while before I got up the nerve to ask about my show. I can't say why I felt I had to build to it, but I did. I made a quick post, and waited. And waited. And waited. I'd put it to the back of my mind, mostly convinced I'd made it up, the product of an over-imaginative child with no siblings and few friends in the neighborhood.

Then, one day, a little icon popped up. Someone had responded. "OMG I remember that too!" the other poster wrote, "no one else ever has ANY clue what I'm talking about!"

Not so much a ghost story as a belief, but it scares some people. We live in the middle on no where, isolated from neighbors: to set the scene. Everyone knows what a coyote is, they're seen as pests. They're also a undomesticated version of dogs (duh). Dogs are seen as evil, because unlike all other domestic animals -they adopted the most traits from man, who is the harbinger of evil itself. We have little to fear from pets, because we're in the same boat as the dogs obviously, but the wild ones still retain what their original purpose. Or that's the story. So basically, they're neutral to human plight. But if you respect them, they won't bother you, their "spirts" might actually help you. Problem with this is how they "help". Everyone, including myself, who has come to my house for extended stays has had nightmares about dogs. A lot of which being rotting/evil looking. I didn't start paying these stories heed until my 4yo niece said she saw a black dead dog growling at her under the house. I was probably 9 then, we all went out and checked. No dog, anywhere. She wouldn't step foot outside for a month after that without being carried. The week after, I came around the other side of the house and there is was -a decomposed black haired dog, "grinning" back at me. It was where we looked last time. A couple years ago, after one of my cats dissappeared, my son (2) told me we'd find the "cat sticks" -"sticks" meaning bones to him at that time. It was out of nowhere, and scared me. Almost every time a pet disappears that was of importance (we have always had many) several bones and tufts of hair end up in a single spot in the yard. I proved this to a friend once and it scared the shit out of him. His cat ran off and I told him we might get bones back after accepted the she was probably dead. He was spiritual too, and said nothing. I guess humoring me. Evidently not as spiritual as I thought, he never came back after my son brought him what I can only assume was his cat.
