Haemorrhoids (piles) help!

Has anyone on glow got any experience of piles? Yesterday my bottom suddenly became very itchy and uncomfortable. I think it may be hemorrhoids and I'm not sure if I should see my doctor? Any advice would be most welcome. I've never had this before so I'm quite anxious.
