We rescued my lil baby over a year ago, she was abandoned and had burns all over her poor body, and we don’t really have the money to spend on a DNA test, what do you think her breed is? She weighs about 45 pounds and is about 2 years old. We really think she’s a Rhodesian mix, because of her traits of stubbornness, need for exercise, she is very good driven and she is a family dog!! She literally is a guard dog though. She won’t allow anyone in near me, if she doesn’t “approve” she’ll bark and jump at them if they walk towards me, until they back away. But then, she’s the sweetest little thing around our family (maybe not my 4 year old brother but he’s mean to her) she’ll cuddle on our laps, wiggle when we come home, she sleeps in my bed, under the covers. She’s so sweet and loving. She loves to chase things and jump over our fences to get them, keep In mind they are all 6ft tall. and she’s about 1 ft tall. Rhodesians were bread to be lion hunters in India and to protect their family. They tend to have traits of wanting to hunt, (in one of the pictures she’s In a tree after a squirrel) and are very protective and are super territorial. Any Rhodesian owner would say to you that they love to jump, and most people tell us that fences won’t stop em, which is our case too. But she’s so small! Female rhodesians usually weigh 20 pounds more than her. And she also doesnt have a super prominate stripe, but not all Rhodesian get them, usually something to do with a birth defect caused by the breeder. The people who rescued her said they didn’t see the dad, but the mom was small dog. We assume the dad was a Rhodesian and the mom I don’t even know!! We Just can’t decide on what she is! If you think of any dogs with these traits and also look like her tell me! :)
