Zika free?

Hello! Planning a babymoon but hoping for some suggestions (Can’t do Bermuda or Hawaii) I’m from the east coast so wondering if you ladies have any suggestions, looking at May for the travel month. Thanks in advance!

I recently went to Mexico at 12 weeks. My Ob and various other MDs encouraged me. Zika is pretty well contained. Most resorts spray regularly- I checked that our did and we never left resort. We sprayed deet on at recommendation from our doctors, then put sunscreen over top. We also wore mosquito repelling bracelets. (Bought at Walmart)
We had a great time and never saw a single bug. You have to remember that women live and get pregnant in Mexico, the Caribbean, in Florida, Louisiana and Virgin Islands. 
Just be smart and cautious - you’re chance of getting Zika is less than 1 percent. Each month it gets lower as these areas are cleared and contained. 
My personal opinion (even though friends disagreed with me) was we can’t live in a bubble. Zika is present in many parts of the world. Just be smart and don’t stress too much.

In my mommy group a lot of ladies are saying they are just going somewhere in the states. Saves money, no Zika concerns and not far away from a good hospital just in case there are any medical concerns . I’m on the east coast as well and we are debating on babymooning somewhere out west.
