Job interview
I'm so tired of the Job search situation. The entire process from start to nothing is draining and stressful. In the last 6 months I've had 15 interviews with jails, sherif offices, meat packing plants, medical offices and court houses and anything else you could imagine.
I'm a great candidate. No I don't have a college degree but I'm glad I dont. It's now just as common as a diploma and they're thousands of dollars in debt. I couldn't afford that even if I was working as an forensic scientis.
Everytime I get a callback they're not flexible or compassionate to the fact I have a current job (no I'm not happy here but I'm respectful) and i would rather not call in or ask to leave early for an interview at noon. But as you can imagine I'm overly accommodating even to these people who have no intention of hiring me and I asked to come in late to work for a 9 am interview.
Of course there were 6 women interviewing me at the same time which made me feel comfortable. I'm just tired of going to these interviews and it's so obvious I'm just a filler candidate (aka someone they add to show they're diversity in their hiring methods).
If I don't get this position I'm going to be completely shocked. I saw the other 4 candidates and the first was dressed with tight clothing and had a lot of makeup, The second was foreign and drew in her sketchbook in the lobby while she waited, the 3rd was old and very loud and the 4th was late.
