Incorrect PCOS Diagnosis
I’m 22 and 3 years ago I was diagnosed with pcos. The doctors never explained it to me, so most of my research was done online. A lot of friends/family were surprised by the diagnosis as the only symptom of pcos I had was all over the place periods.
I’m now 17 weeks pregnant and have been told after a scan revealing my ovaries are absolutely fine that doctors went through a ‘phase’ of diagnosing pcos. If you’re trying to conceive with PCOS and don’t have the majority of other symptoms...it might be worth getting a second opinion ladies!
I worried myself every day about it thinking I’d never get pregnant and that my pregnancy would carry additional risks of miscarriage. Turns out it was all for nothing!
