What is the normal age for girls to get fake nails?

The first time I got fake nails was for my sophomore banquet. I feel like that’s an appropriate age and will probably do the same for my daughter. After my sophomore banquet m, I got them for both proms. I was always playing sports so fake nails weren’t practical anyway.

Fake nails from a store put of a box? When she asks. Depending on how responsible she is. Honestly when my daughter is 4 years old and she ask me for the pretty nails she sees on the shelf I'd say yes. Or just paint the design on her nails myself. Going to an actual salon, definitely 13+ if not more. I do not go to a nail salon often myself. Like every 2 or so years. It's a big chunk of change for something I can do at home.

I personally would allow a 10-14 get gel nails as I know that’s about the time they start middle school & have all the dances they want to get girly for. 
Before 10 I would do only nail polish. 
After 15 acrylics or hard gel extensions would be good.

Middle school or high school. As long as they're capable of doing enough chores to earn the upkeep of the nails, since they're expensive and need to be done every couple of weeks.
