Evening primerose oil ?!

I’m 35 + 4 days when should I start taking the evening prime rose oil & how much ??

I am 36 + 4 and started taking 2000 mgs daily at 36 weeks. I will start with an additional 1000 mgs vaginally at 37 weeks.

My midwife recommended that I begin taking 1-2 pills vaginally at 36 weeks. I took 1300mg that first night and had what felt like menstrual cramps for 24 hours after. Kinda freaked me out so I stopped. Now I'm 37 + 2 and have done a ton of research and talked to my midwife and all said cramping is to be expected and E.P. wont bring on labor any faster than your body and baby are ready for. I was 1cm and 80% effaced last week and will be restarting the pill tonight. I've been cramping all day anyway so I figure I might as well!
(Since the 36 week mark I've been eating 6 dates a day, drinking 2 cups of red raspberry leaf tea and sitting on a yoga ball at work so that's all contributing to the progress too.)

I’m dilated to a 3.5 and 70% effaced.
