Did anyone else?

Me and my husband were coming up with names for our daughter, everytime we see my family or his they ask if we have a name picked out. We were telling them a few of the names were deciding on. His family gets so judgmental towards names. Well we decided on a name we REALLY like, and are plan is we’re not telling our family or friends until the day she’s born. Did anyone else do that? I don’t want to be rude about it. But we’re both tired of them having something negative to say about names.

Yeah. My mom is doing this to us. Every name we choose is the worst for one reason or another and she insists that the names she comes up with are perfect.

Only selected people know our baby’s name, we like to keep several things between those who really care, I feel some people want to know certain details just to be in the know, or to be nosy, not because they genuinely care... so go for it! Specially if they’re putting their two bad cents in it!

That’s what I’ll be doing with my next. No one really gave us crap but they were all thinking they had a say in what we named our son. My husbands mom wanted us to pass her name down to him but she wanted it to be his middle name. So she really thought I would name my son Grayson Kerry. Yeah right. My husband wanted to include his dead father’s name in too as the middle name which I had no issue with. Would’ve been Grayson Wayne but I felt it would be unfair to his mom and she would have been mad. So we ended up with Grayson Lane so no one could get salty over it. Pretty dumb.

Not telling anyone any names that we're even considering. I just tell them we a have a few on a list. We have a few reasons, 1. we don't need unnecessary comments from people, our baby, our choice. 2. we haven't found a name we both love yet and 3. I don't think we'll choose a name until he is in our arms.
