kinda freaked out

so my periods have gotten really short but still just as heavy. they're about 3 days when they used to be 7. i also get pretty bad hot flashes around the time i get my period.. im 31.. i can usually set a clock to my cycle... except this month i am 4 days late.. im wondering could i be going through early menopause?
