Is it selfish?

I'm 40 weeks and SO ready to have this little girl but I'm absolutely NOT ready to share her with anyone other than her daddy.. Is that selfish of me?

My babe turns 10 months soon and I still cringe when I have to hand her to anyone else but her daddy. It's not easy!

It made me so angry with my first that my family and husbands family would literally show up at our door unannounced and then demand we let them see the baby.

My baby is 4 months now and I'm still just as greedy with him as I was at birth. I hate watching other people try to comfort him and keep holding him when he's obviously crying for me. Argh!

Nope! I told my husband nobody is allowed in the room for 30-45 min after we give birth because I want to bond with her and hold her before we have everyone else coming to touch and hold her, i would of preferred for nobody to see us until the day after but i know my husband  would be like we can keep them from seeing their first grand baby they will be excited to so I’m just sucking it up lol

Don’t let anyone be around if you’re not ready. I went to a family thanksgiving dinner. Even though I was completely comfortable with my family I felt super overwhelmed and very upset with all the people around me and my son. I was also new to being a mom and breastfeeding 🤱 so don’t ever feel bad for taking time for you and your baby. It’s actually healthier for you to stay at home until 6 weeks have passed or whenever you feel ready.

I feel my mother in law.. we get along great. Don't get me wrong she's awesome but she's very overbearing and I'm afraid she will suffocate me when that time comes. She lives a fee miles away so very close. Being my first born I will want that quality bonding time and I'm afraid she will always want to come over. I'll take the help when I WANT it or need it ..

I felt the same way lol. when it came down to it, I shared. I was so tired. both my husband and I didn't get to bed until 24 hours after we arrived to the hospital and even then we got two hours of sleep each night. it was awful. I was glad when we had visitors.

I kind of feel the same way. I’m not really excited about my husbands mother in law coming to visit because I know she will want to hog him and cuddle him a lot. Which I love, but it makes me sad. Haha. I’m selfish like that I guess hahaha
