I automatically dumped any supposed friend who would date my ex. Many exes are exes because they mistreat their partner. That friend doesn't care about you if they want to get with someone who mistreats you.

I think it depends. Like if he dumped her then it wouldn't be right, but if she dumped him for whatever reason (say she was bored) then I don't see any problem but it's something you should ask her.

Would mostly depend on why they broke up. (If it was for something awful like emotional/physical abuse or cheating - then hell no. If it was for something like just falling out of love or being better off friends - okay) 
Ultimately, my friends would want me to be with someone who made me happy. If that was their ex, then so be if. Unless their ex was a shitty person then they wouldn’t approve no matter what.

When I was in high school I dated my best friends ex - - - but only because she said it was ok!!! It was weird though because we would always be hanging out at her house. And when I told her I wanted to break up with him she discouraged me from doing so. It turned out she actually WANTED me to date him so she wouldn’t have to stop having him around. Never again... x.x
