My baby is two months and I add a teaspoon of baby oat cereal to his bottles. Because the formula does not fill him up . It’s not to put him to sleep or anything it’s just because otherwise he’ll be hungry every hour . I’d rather him drink 5-6 oz of formula with a bit of oats every 3-4 hours than him drink 5-6 oz of just formula every hour. His doctor is okay with it and he’s never been constipated he poops at least 2-3 times a day. Moms on here will chew you out about all the harms of cereal but this is what works for my baby. Start very small with 1/2 a teaspoon then see how your baby reacts . Also make sure the milk is flowing properly because cereal can make it a little thicker. Good luck !

I add a small amount to my sons night time bottle because of his acid reflux. His doctor told me to do it because he would barely sleep any time of the day.
