Disclaimer: Now cats are usually self sufficient when it comes to birth and dont need any help. That being said, I've been in situations where either the mom was sick and didn't have the strength to clean them up, the baby was stuck or mom was pulling the umbilical cord too much while munching it and endangering the kittens tummys. It's always best to be prepared. I've almost got all the equipment I need to assist if necessary. I'm picking up a clamp from the vet tomorrow if I need to assist with the umbilical cords.
