Any success stories treating someone with NPD? Just found out that my bf has this. He's being hospitalized right now for suicidal threats but since there's no official diagnosis I doubt they'll address this. We have a therapist and she's the one who suggested he has NPD and it all describes him perfectly.

I'm having a hard time dealing with this because he loves me and our new baby but he's so focused on himself and thinks he deserves life to be easy for him that I know I can't do this forever and since he also has anger problems he can't be a good dad with it. Has anyone had successful experiences with treating NPD? Is it possible for him to learn to not be so self-centered?
