How fast when labor start?

I'm 37 weeks today and I just left my doctor appointment and I'm 2cm dialated !! And my doctor was shocked hahaha. How far you think till my water break or go in labor? How far u got when you found out u was 2cm? Like when ur water break or u had a lot contractions and went to hospital?

I was about 1 cm at 36+5 and my doctor didn't seem to think it meant much. She just said I am lucky if I dialate some before I go into labor because it's less work then. Every centimeter you dialate now is one you don't have to wait for while you're having contractions. Works for me. 😊

I walked around 2&3 cm and 50% effaced for a month before I had my son. It's no indication of how soon labor will start, just that your body is getting ready

I sat at 3cm dialated and 50% effaced for a month and had to be induced at 41 weeks. All depends
