Hypothyroidism?!

Anyone else going through the same thing? They are just now treating me at 30 weeks when I should have been treated at the very beginning of my pregnancy when they noticed. I did some research and a lot of sites say my baby could possibly be born with birth defects and I’m bawling! Someone who is or has dealt with this, please help me through this!

I’m sorry, I was diagnosed at 5 weeks and have been on synthroid throughout my pregnancy. You were tested early in pregnancy and they didn’t address it until 30 weeks?! I will say that I trolled the pregnancy boards about this when I was diagnosed and many people, a lot of which also had a delay in diagnosis and treatment, said there were no negative side effects. Of course it’s impossible not to worry, but I’m hoping you can find some positive information to help calm you in the situation. Just so you’re not stressing so hard! ☹️ I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I was told at about 18 weeks baby had a heart defect and left arm was missing. It was like a ton of bricks hit me at once. I had lots of test done within the following weeks and was told it was just her arm but they cant tell what her brain it like so I'll have to wait till shes born to see what we are dealing with. I felt like my heart was out of my body and I was trying to catch it. if you need anyone to talk to Im here for you. Prayers have helped me through everything.
