Brazilian Wax - Info?

Question

I've had a bikini wax before but I hated it 6 years ago. From all the research I've done it hurt because the lady wasn't very good at it.
How much does a Brazilian hurt? I'm 24w on Thursday and I can't see myself to shave and even using a mirror is uncomfortable and too much work. So I'm looking into Brazilian.
Does anyone have an tips or info things I should look for or anything?
If anyone lives in Vancouver BC is there any places you'd say to avoid? I'm not sure how I'd go about looking for a place.

European wax center is good - they have package deals that ultimately save you a lot of money. I started getting them shortly after I got my bfp so it's one less thing to deal with...and at only 24 weeks I'm happy I started doing them bc bending over to shave started to hurt my belly already! I take 2 Tylenol about 30 mins before my appointment and it doesn't hurt too bad..it's not enjoyable but it's not really painful either haha! Good luck :)

I would suggest going somewhere like a spa a good Brazilian should cost around $50 (usd). I used to do it often pre pregnancy every couple months or so but when I went once I was pregnant it hurt way more to me. I also second hard wax or they might call it sugaring. It's definitely less painful. I never tried taking anything before a wax but have heard it helps so maybe try Tylenol? Good luck!

I just got a Brazilian on Saturday and it hurt so bad. I've been going to the same girl for over a year and it never hurt but now with all the pregnancy stuff going it was painful. She felt so bad lol she's due 2 days after me!

I waxed before I got pregnant and still currently waxing at 22 weeks every 6 weeks. I find that it's actually less sore now that I'm pregnant versus pre pregnancy. My waxing lady says it can go either way in pregnancy, with some women being hypersensitive or hyposensitive. If you find somewhere to go, make sure they use hard wax and not the strips. Less painful! Good luck!

I got regular waxes for a while. Stopped for about a year because the girl that did it moved 30 mins away and it just wasn't a priority. Felt the same way as you, as my belly began growing I starting seeing her again. The first time was painful. My hair was thick! But each time you go your hair is thinner and thinner. It's been less and less painful. It doesn't bother me any more. I'll be seeing her regularly through my pregnancy! She used to work for a large waxing chain called European Wax Center, and now works for herself. She's knowledgeable and kind. Good luck!
