Cloth Diapers - Alva and Gdiapers

I plan to use gdiapers this time around but o saw that there are also Alva pocket diapers and I wondered if anyone had used these? Looking for something I can sometimes use a disposable insert with and other times just a cloth insert. Also with gdiapers I had read a suggestion for at night to use a cloth liner with a disposable liner over top for extra wetness protection. Anyone have luck with this method either?
