Eye color?

Okay so can I have opinions, see how my daughters eyes are like grey? Is there a chance they will stay or will they turn brown because both her parents have brown eyes. But everyone else I know their babies eyes were brown within a month old. My baby is almost 5 months. They look dark when inside though but outside they are so bright and grey.

Genetics is a funny thing. Both my parents had brown hair and brown eyes. I am one of four girls and the only one born with blonde hair and blue eyes. It’s possible they can darken, but mine never did. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My baby is 6.5 mo old and so far his eyes have not darken .. the only one that has pretty eyes is his great grandma from my side ....

If you both have the recessive allele for grey eyes than maybe your baby has them, but idk maybe she'll grow out of them.

As someone else said genetics are kinda crazy. As well as everyone in my family has dark dark brown or black hair and hazel eyes, while I have blonde hair and bright blue eyes. That being said if I remember correctly babies don’t get there TRUE eye color till they are about 2. So from birth till around 2ish it can change colors. However under every brown/grey/green/ hazel eye color is blue. So if your baby had bright blue eyes there would be no shot of them ever having brown due to genetic pigmentation. That being said, my niece had a similar eye color as your baby and hers are now a mix of blue and hazel. It’s very pretty!

just depends. my son was born with dark blue eyes now his two they turn brown. my husband and I have dark brown eyes.
