is 5 days before period too early to test? more info in description

I've been having what I would consider a fair few symptoms of early pregnancy, tender nipples, peeing constantly, unbelievably tired, nausea, certain things I enjoy now aren't that appealing and I've got a weird ache in my lower abdomen. I know what my PMS is like and I've never had any of these. according to the app my period is due in 5 days but last month it came a week later than they said so would it be too early, if so how long shall I leave it seeing as my cycle can differ each time?
